Hymn of the Week

Hymn of the Week (for Hymn Study)

One of my favorite traditions is to learn and sing a new hymn with my family each week. Not only are we exposed to rich language and theological truth, but as we study the history behind the hymns, we are often inspired by the godly lives of the writers and composers. If you are not familiar with these hymns, you can listen to many of them on our You Tube Hymns Playlist to find the ones that you like best. Note that the lyric videos, though they contain the original words and tune, are in a contemporary modernized style.

Hymn of the Week

Below you will find a hymn for every week of the year! I have chosen a theme for each month (usually related to the month’s holiday), and I will periodically be adding hymns to this list. Each hymn includes a lyric video, history, sheet music, and other resources. If you prefer, you can view the Hymns in Alphabetical Order.

Also, Jimmie at Jimmie’s Collage offers a variety of free Hymn Study Notebooking Pages to use with your study. I hope these hymns are a blessing to you and your family!
