Ideas for the 12 Days of Christmas
Do you know that the 12 Days of Christmas are the 12 days AFTER Christmas? In Medieval times, these were the days of the greatest celebrations of Christmas.
1. LEARN MORE ABOUT THE TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS.
Visit our history page about the Twelve Days of Christmas.
2. LEARN MORE ABOUT THE WISE MEN.
Since the Twelve Days of Christmas lead up to Epiphany (the day celebrated as when the Wise Men first saw Jesus), visit our symbols page about the Wise Men.
3. BE CREATIVE WITH YOUR WISE MEN NATIVITY FIGURES (IF YOU HAVE THEM).
Place your Nativity figures in different parts of the house each day as they “travel” to find Jesus.
4. HELP CHILDREN PICK A TOY EACH DAY TO GIVE TO SOMEONE IN NEED.
Since most children get new toys on Christmas day, help them to pick an old toy on each of the twelve days that they can give to someone in need. Remind them that the Wise Men gave their very best gifts to Jesus.
