Meringue Ghosts Recipe

Meringue GhostsIngredients:

3 egg whites, room temperature
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
dash salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup sugar
mini chocolate chips

Directions:

1. Allow egg whites to reach room temperature (about 1 hour).
2. Beat egg whites and cream of tartar on high until soft peaks form.
3. Add salt and vanilla, and then gradually add sugar until stiff peaks form.
4. Spoon mixture into ziploc bag, and snip a small hole in one corner of the bag.
5. Pipe mixture into the shape of ghosts on an ungreased cookie sheeet; add mini chocolate chips for eyes.
6. Cook at 300 degrees for 35 minutes.
7. Turn off oven, and leave in oven for 1-2 hours.
