Shamrock Rolls

Here is a fun and easy way to change up traditional dinner rolls for St. Patrick’s Day. It incorporates the symbol of the shamrock, as well as the color green. Visit our St. Patrick’s Day Symbols page to learn more about the symbolism and meaning of shamrocks for St. Patrick’s Day.

Shamrock RollsIngredients:

1 pkg. frozen dinner rolls

green food coloring, optional

*We used Bridgford white rolls, but you can also use refrigerated or homemade dough.

Directions:

1. Lightly grease a muffin tin.

2. Thaw rolls according to package directions.

3. Cut each roll in 3 parts (or 4 parts if you want a 4 leaf clover).

4. Roll the parts in your hands to form balls.

5. Place 3 (or 4) balls in each muffin cup (see below image).

6. Allow dough to rise.
