Celebrating Father’s Day

Welcome to our Father’s Day pages! I am so glad to have you visit. Whether you are looking to build meaningful traditions with your family, find creative gift ideas, or just looking for some Father’s Day humor, I hope you will be inspired here.

Celebrating Father's Day

Father’s Day is a time to celebrate one of the most important people in your life — your dad (your biological dad or someone who has been like-a-dad to you). Mother’s Day became a national holiday in the U.S. in 1914 when President Wilson issued a proclamation recognizing the day. Father’s Day, however, was not nationally recognized until 1966 when President Lyndon B. Johnson designated the third Sunday in June as Father’s Day.

As you celebrate Father’s Day, my prayer is that our pages will help to make it more fun and meaningful. If you have any questions that are not answered on this site, or if you have suggestions for ways that we can improve, please contact us.
