Here is a free printable Halloween garland that says, “Hallowed Be Thy Name.” If you don’t know, the name
Halloween is a blending of the words
All Hallows’ Eve or Even (referring to the evening before All Saints’ Day on November 1). The term
hallow means “holy” – you may recall reciting it in the Lord’s Prayer, “Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name” (Matthew 6:9).

I decided that a garland with this phrase from the Lord’s prayer would be a nice way to decorate for the Halloween season. The background of each banner is part of the text from Colossians 3 (titled “Rules for Holy Living”).
My mantel is 6 feet wide, and the garland draped a bit lower than I intended, so I will probably reprint the letters at 85%. However I am leaving the files as they are, because I know some people have larger mantels than mine. You may even want to shorten the phrase and just print out “Hallowed” or “Hallowed Be.”
