July 4th Kabobs Recipe
The below recipe is for delicious kabobs. Use traditional vegetables or limit your choices to the patriotic colors of red, white and blue. See our July 4th Symbols page for the symbolism and meaning of the colors of red, white and blue.
Steak or Chicken, cut in 1 1/2″ cubes
Tomatoes, cut in 1 1/2″ pieces
Red Peppers, cut in 1 1/2″ pieces
Onions, red or white, cut in 1 1/2″ pieces
Blue Potatoes, cut in half
1. Marinade all kabob pieces in teriyaki (except for potatoes) for atleast 30 minutes.
2. Microwave potatoes at 2 minute intervals until tender. Toss in olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
3. Place on items on kabobs and grill until done.
