Praline Pumpkin Bread Recipe

I love pumpkin flavored anything in the fall, and combined with a delicious praline glaze, this recipe makes an amazing bread. Thank you to my friend Laura for sharing this great recipe!

Praline Pumpkin BreadBread Ingredients:

3 1/3 cups flour
3 cups sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 (15-ounce) can pumpkin
1 cup oil
4 eggs
2/3 cup water
1/2 cup pecans, optional

Glaze Ingredients:

1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup whipping cream
2/3 cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

FOR BREAD:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Mix the dry ingredients together in a bowl (flour, sugar, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg).
3. In a separate bowl, blend together pumpkin, oil, eggs and water with an electric mixer.
4. Gradually add dry ingredients to pumpkin mixture, and stir in pecans.
5. Spoon into two greased loaf pans, and bake for 55-65 minutes.

FOR GLAZE:

Warm butter, white sugar, and brown sugar in a medium saucepan until sugars dissolve. Cool for 20 minutes before stirring in cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Blend until smooth, and drizzle over warm loaves.
