Brownie Pop Jack-o’-Lantern Recipe

I love cake pops and this recipe is a fun variation that uses brownie mix and cream cheese (yum!) instead of cake mix and frosting. It is a bit more dense, so feel free to use cake mix if you prefer.

Brownie Pop Jack-o'-LanternsIngredients:

Brownies (cooked according to package directions)

3/4 Cup Cream Cheese

Chocolate and Orange Candy Melts

Lollipop Sticks (found at craft stores)

Transparent Treat Bags (found at craft stores)

Ziploc Bags (for freezing and piping chocolate)

Green Ribbon

See supply photo in Image 1 below.

Directions:

1. Bake brownies according to package directions.

2. Allow brownies to cool slightly, but while still warm, mix in cream cheese.

3. Roll mixture into 1″ balls (see image 2).

4. Dip the tip of your lollipop stick in a little of the melted candy coating and insert into the brownie balls.

5. Place the balls in a Ziploc freezer bag, and chill for at least one hour (you can leave them in the freezer for several weeks if you want to make them in advance).

6. After brownie balls have been chilled, melt orange candy coating according to package directions.

7. Carefully dip each brownie ball in the orange candy coating, gently swirling around to cover the whole thing.

8. Place each orange dipped brownie ball on wax paper to dry (see image 3).

9. Melt chocolate candy coating in a Ziploc bag (strong freezer bags work best) according to package directions.

10. Snip a small tip off the corner of the Ziploc bag, and pipe faces onto the pumpkins.

11. When dry, place the pumpkins in candy bags and tie with a green ribbon (see image 4).
