Chocolate Chip Heart Cookies

chocolate chip heart cookiesIngredients:

2 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs , large
1 (11 oz.) pkg. milk chocolate chips
1 cup nuts, chopped (optional)
Heart shaped cookie cutter

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. Combine flour, baking soda, and salt in small bowl.
3. Beat butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
4. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels and nuts.
5. Spread dough into 10×15″ greased jelly roll pan. Bake for approximately 20 minutes or until golden brown.
6. Once cool, use a heart shaped cookie cutter to cut out heart shapes.
7. Enjoy the leftover pieces!
