Turkey Pesto Burgers

Turkey Pesto Burger

Burger Ingredients:

1 1/2 pounds ground turkey
3/4 cup grated Mozzarella cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
1/3 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons pesto

Pesto Sauce:

1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons pesto

Other:

6 burger buns
6 slices of mozzarella cheese
Lettuce and tomato

Directions:

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, cheese, salt, and pepper. Blend the mixture with your hands until evenly blended.

2. In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise and pesto, then add it to the ground turkey mixture and combine until evenly blended. Shape the meat into six ½” thick patties.

3. Grill the burgers until the meat is no longer pink inside.

4. Make the sauce by mixing mayo and pesto sauce.

5. Cut the sliced mozzarella with a shamrock shaped cookie cutter. Serve the burgers with the mozzarella cheese, buns, lettuce, tomato, and pesto mayonnaise.
