Cat Cookies Recipe

We got this idea from Taste of Home, though we use a different recipe.

Cat CookiesIngredients:

1 cup butter, softened
1 1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 t. vanilla extract
1/2 cup Hershey’s natural cocoa
1 3/4 cup flour
candy corn
red hots
sugar

Directions:

1. Heat oven to 300 degrees.

2. Beat butter, powdered sugar and vanilla with electric mixer until creamy.

3. Add cocoa and blend well; gradually add flour.

4. Roll dough into 1 1/2″ ball, and place about 3′ apart on greased cookie sheet.

5. Flatten each cookie with a glass dipped in sugar (Step 1).

6. Pinch the top of the cookie to form ears (Step 2).

7. Press a fork into each side of the cookie to form whiskers (Step 3).

8. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Remove from oven and press on candy corns and red hots while hot.
